Referrals, Co-Sellers, and Claiming Invites
How referral locks work, what invite claiming changes for a creator, and how co-seller earnings and transfers appear in settings.
Where you see this in the app
The main referral and co-seller surfaces are:
| Route / UI | What it is for |
|---|---|
Settings → Creator dashboard | Referral invitations, active referred creators, co-seller summaries |
Settings → Co-seller earnings | Your earnings when you are the collaborator/publisher rather than the main seller |
/referrals/claim | Claiming an invite code as a creator |
These surfaces describe a collaboration economy, not only solo selling.
Claiming a referral invite
Activate a referral invite is the flow a creator uses when another publisher or referrer brought them into the platform.
The user-facing flow is simple:
- enter or open a referral invite code,
- activate the referral,
- the lock is created for the limited starting period,
- qualifying priced posts during that period share revenue automatically.
The claim page explains the user benefit directly: the creator gets the temporary discounted platform fee, and the inviting publisher gets the revenue-share relationship.
What a referral lock does
A referral lock is the time-bounded relationship created by a successful invite claim.
From the user perspective, it means:
- the invited creator is tied to the publisher/referrer for the lock period,
- priced-post revenue during that period shares economics with the referrer,
- the creator receives the discounted platform fee during that same period.
This is why the creator dashboard shows Active referred creators and the co-seller page shows Active referral locks.
Co-seller earnings and payouts
The co-seller settings page is the collaborator-side earnings view.
| UI area | Plain-English meaning |
|---|---|
Total earned | Lifetime collaborator/referral earnings summary |
Active locks | How many current referral relationships are still active |
Pending transfers | Earnings that have not completed transfer yet |
Recent payouts | Recent payout/transfer entries with timestamps and statuses |
This page matters when you are acting as the publisher, referrer, or revenue-sharing collaborator rather than the main seller.
What creators and publishers should expect
The practical mental model is:
- creators claim invites,
- referral locks define the temporary economic relationship,
- priced posts created during that lock share revenue accordingly,
- collaborator earnings and transfer states appear in the co-seller settings surface.
This system is meant to preserve attribution and shared economics in a durable way. It is not just a coupon or one-time campaign code.
